What you'll learn

  • Develop a blend of skills, knowledge and behaviours across engineering disciplines including electrical, electronic, mechanical, fluid power and control systems.
  • Understand how to install, test, troubleshoot and maintain complex automated equipment
  • Gain invaluable experience by learning challenging theory and applying it on-the-job
  • Get a membership with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET)
  • Be supported by experienced mentors and managers
  • Develop the fundamental skills required to pursue a career in engineering
  • On completion of the programme, you will be a registered EngTech member.

£12,300-£19,500 per year (£1,025-£1,625pm) + location allowance if applicable, rising annually to a minimum of £27,900 (£2,325pm) on completion of the programme and end point assessment.



36-48 months, dependent on previous experience.


Entry criteria

You have achieved or expect to achieve a minimum of five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent), including Maths, English and Science. You are able to start work in September 2019. You are eligible to work in the UK.
