Finance AAT apprenticeship

About this programme

As a Finance apprentice, you’ll be a key part of Royal Mail, helping to drive process improvements, support the business and deliver results.

You could work with our award-winning Accounts Receivable team, managing a range of activities involving customers. You could work in the Accounts Payable team, dealing with vendors and a variety of payment processes. You could also deliver results through ledger and asset register maintenance, external and internal reporting, and the preparation of statutory and regulatory accounts.

What you'll learn

  • Study towards a professional Finance qualification with the Association of Accounting Technicians

  • Put theory into practice in your day-to-day role

  • Develop your finance, communication and team-working skills, as well as learning about the more technical aspects of the role.

£13,500 per year (£1,125pm) starting salary and benefits rising to £17,000 (£1,416pm) on passing AAT Level 2 exams, £19,000 (£1,583pm) on passing AAT Level 3 exams, and £25,579 (£2,131pm) on passing AAT Level 4 exams and end point assessments.



3 to 4 years (depending on AAT exemptions).


Entry criteria

You have a minimum of five GCSEs (A*-C including Maths and English). You are able to start in September 2019. You are eligible to work in the UK.
